Town Committees:

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission consists of five citizen members and two Town Board members. The Planning Commission hears rezoning requests, special use permit requests, reviews preliminary and final plats and does site plan reviews for new commercial and industrial buildings. They then make a recommendation to the Town Board as to approval or denial.

Planning Commission meetings are generally held the last Monday of each month. Requests for rezoning and special use permits are due in the Clerk’s office approximately 25 days before the scheduled meeting. Call the Town Clerk for exact dates or see the rezonings page and for a form or see our Planning & Zoning page.

The Planning Commission meets on the 4th Monday of the month.

Board of Appeals

The Board of Appeals is a citizen committee of five members and meets as needed. The Committee hears variance requests. As with the Planning Commission, requests for variances are due in the Clerk’s office approximately 25 days before a meeting can be scheduled.

Park Commission

The Town of Greenville Park Commission is a seven member citizen committee and meets approximately once a month. The Commission works on planning park improvements in our three Town parks.

Urban Forestry Committee

This group works on "Keeping the Green in Greenville".  They work on doing plantings throughout the Township.  This group has earned a number of grants to help in their efforts.  There are no set number of members and new members are always welcome.  In 2001, the Group met the qualifications to make Greenville a "Tree City".
