Sanitary District Meeting Minutes

The Sanitary District meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Present:  Randy Leiker, Andy Peters, Mark Strobel and Mike Woods.  Tom Becher was excused.

Has agenda been properly posted? Yes

Public hearing – Tom Griesbach to annex his property in Section 3 into the Sanitary District.

The hearing was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Tom Griesbach stated he is building a shed that is a bit of a distance from his house.  He would like to get water down to there.  There would be a large disruption of his yard because of concrete, electrical wire, trees, etc. if he goes from his home.  A well is a financial commitment with the arsenic requirements.  He wants to run a temporary 2’ line to the building.  He will replace it with the appropriate size water main when he develops his land.  If he puts a well in, would he have to abandon it when water goes in?   We will just put in parcel 0092-01.

Mark Strobel made a motion to close the public hearing.  Mike Woods seconded the motion and it was carried and closed at 6:45 p.m.

Superintendent’s report.
Don Schinke stated we have an accepted offer on the Boelter property.  Don went over the next step with SEH to see what we should do.  They will check with the State and County for any issues.  They will get the soil tested.  The sale is conditioned on total clearance.  This will be a special use for a utility going into an agricultural area and will require a public hearing.

Mark Strobel made a motion to adjourn the Sanitary District meeting.  Andy Peters seconded the motion and it was carried and adjourned at 6:49 p.m.
