Public Works Projects

Projects completed within the Town of Greenville may be completed by town staff or the services may be contracted. Greenwood Road Urbanization (STH 15  - Parkview Dr)
Anticipated Timeline: Construction 2021
Project Description: Reconstruction of Greenwood Road between STH 15 and Parkview Drive.  Greenwood Road is proposed to be urbanized to accommodate bicyclists and pedestrians.  The existing typical section for Greenwood Road is two 11 foot travel lanes with one foot gravel shoulders.  A preliminary proposed typical section for Greenwood Road would include widened 12 foot travel lanes with 5 foot bike lanes, curb & gutter, and 5 foot sidewalks on each side of the road.  This project will also include replacing water main and sanitary sewer, as well as installing storm sewer.  This project is currently under the preliminary design stages and is estimated to be constructed in 2021.  Construction is expected to take approximately 6-9 months to complete.

South Creek Drive (School Rd-Molly Marie Ct)
Anticipated Timeline: Construction June 2020 - August 2020
Project Description: 
Reconstruction of South Creek Drive between School Road and Termini of South Creek Drive.  Construction includes removing the existing pavement, excavating the roadway, installing new base course, and paving the new roadway surface.  Cross culvert replacement and ditch cleaning will also be included as part of this project.

Spring Road Pulverize and Pave (North Rd-Julius Dr)
Anticipated Timeline: Construction May 2020 - August 2020
Project Description:
 Rehabilitation of Spring Road between North Road and Julius Drive.  Construction includes pulverizing the existing pavement, reshaping the base course to re-establish the roadway crown, and paving the new roadway surface. Cross culvert replacement and minor ditch cleaning will also be included as part of this project.
