Notice is hereby given that the Greenville Town Board will hold a public hearing at the Town of Greenville Town Hall/Community Center located at W6860 Parkview Drive in the Town of Greenville beginning at 5:30 p.m. on May 12, 2008 for a proposed amendment to the Town of Greenville Zoning Ordinance to amend section 7.04 (4) Nonconforming Structures.

1.   Section 7.04 (4) “Nonconforming Structures” is amended as follows:

(4)  Nonconforming Structures.  Where at the effective date of adoption or amendment of this ordinance a structure exists which could not be erected in the district in which it is located by reason of restriction on area or coverage, height, yards, its location on the lot or other non-design requirements concerning the structure, such structure may continue in existence subject to the following restrictions:

2.   Section 7.04 (5a) “Nonconforming Design of Structures” is added as follows:  

     (5a) Nonconforming Design of Structures.  If characteristics of the design of a structure such as walls, roofs, equipment, entrances, facades or building materials are made nonconforming by the provisions of this ordinance as adopted or amended, the structure may be altered or enlarged, provided, however, that to the maximum extent practicable, the alteration or enlargement complies with such requirements and does not increase the nonconformity.

After this is approved by the Town Board, it needs to be approved by Outagamie County Zoning Committee and the County Board.

Notice is hereby given that the Stormwater Utility Commissioners will hold a public hearing at the Town of Greenville Town Hall/Community Center located at W6860 Parkview Drive in the Town of Greenville beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the 12th day of May, 2008 to consider a Construction Site Erosion Control Zoning Ordinance.

The purpose of this ordinance is to further the maintenance of safe and healthful conditions; prevent and control water pollution; prevent and control soil erosion; protect spawning grounds, fish and aquatic life; control building sites, placement of structures and land uses; preserve ground cover and scenic beauty; and promote sound economic growth, by minimizing the amount of sediment and other pollutants carried by runoff or discharged from land disturbing construction activity to waters of the state in the Town of Greenville.

This ordinance applies to a construction site which has 4,000 sq. ft. or greater of land disturbing construction activity; a construction site which has100 cubic yards or greater of excavation volume, filling volume, or some combination of excavation and filling volume; a construction site which has 100 linear feet or greater of land disturbance to a highway, street, driveway, swale, ditch, waters of the state, wetland, protective area, or other non-agricultural drainage facility which conveys concentrated flow.

Notice is hereby given that the Stormwater Utility Commissioners will hold a public hearing at the Town of Greenville Town Hall/Community Center located at W6860 Parkview Drive in the Town of Greenville beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the 12th day of May, 2008 to consider an Illicit Discharge and Connection Ordinance.

The purpose of this ordinance is to provide for the health, safety, environment and general welfare of the citizens of Town of Greenville through the regulation of non-storm water discharges into waters of the State or the municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) to the maximum extent practicable as required by federal and state law.  This ordinance establishes methods for controlling the introduction of pollutants into waters of the State or the MS4 in order to comply with requirements of the Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (WPDES) permit process.  The objectives of this ordinance are:

1.         To regulate the contribution of pollutants into waters of the State or the MS4 by storm water discharges by any user.

2.         To prohibit illicit connections and discharges into waters of the State or the MS4.

3.         To establish legal authority to carry out all inspection, surveillance, monitoring, and enforcement procedures necessary to ensure compliance with this ordinance.

Notice is hereby given that the Stormwater Utility Commissioners will hold a public hearing at the Town of Greenville Town Hall/Community Center located at W6860 Parkview Drive in the Town of Greenville beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the 12th day of May, 2008 to consider a Post-Construction Storm Water Management Zoning Ordinance.

The purposed of this ordinance is to establish long-term, post-construction runoff management requirements that will diminish the threats to public health, safety, welfare and the aquatic environment.  Specific purposes are to:

(a)       Further the maintenance of safe and    healthful conditions.

(b)       Prevent and control the adverse effects of storm water; prevent and control soil erosion; prevent and control water pollution; protect spawning grounds, fish and aquatic life; control building sites, placement of structures and land uses; preserve ground cover and scenic beauty; and promote sound economic growth.

(c)        Control exceedance of the safe capacity of existing drainage facilities and receiving water bodies; prevent undue channel erosion; control increases in the scouring and transportation of particulate matter; and prevent conditions that endanger downstream property.

Notice is hereby given that the Greenville Town Board will hold a public hearing at the Town of Greenville Town Hall/Community Center located at W6860 Parkview Drive in the Town of Greenville beginning at 5:30 p.m. on May 12, 2008 for a proposed Ordinance Regulating Fireworks in the Town of Greenville.

This proposed ordinance will govern the sale, use, permit and storage and handling of fireworks.
