Apple Tree Square

Appletree Square is a 2 acre park located across Hwy 15 from Jennerjohn Park.  The recreational trail runs through the park and a tunnel runs under the highway to Jennerjohn Park.  Existing facilities include a park bench, informational sign, recreational trail and Crabapple Arboretum.

In January 2004, the Urban Forestry Board was awarded a grant to to develop a demonstration area for the many varieties of crabapple trees that are available for landscaping our Town. Perhaps as many as 100 different varieties of crab apples will eventually be planted in this area. Each tree will be marked with a sign that explains the variety and its principal features.
