Drain Tile — Please be aware that in many of our subdivisions there may be an existing drain tile system. These drain tile systems have been used by farmers in the past to drain their fields. If there is field tile and you damage or disconnect it during basement excavation, it must be reconnected in a hydraulically efficient fashion as soon as possible. If these tiles are not reconnected, water damage could occur to new construction for which you may be held liable.
Curb Valve Boxes — It is the responsibility of the property owner to protect the water service curb valve. If the water utility finds the calve box damaged, we will not turn the water on to the property until the box is repaired or replaced.
BEFORE building anything you must first check the shoreland, wetland and airport zoning.
