The Office of the Town Clerk is a vital unit of local government that provides an essential link between citizens and their local governing body. The Town Board appoints a Town Clerk as the custodian of official records and proceedings of the Town Board and Sanitary Districts. Statutory duties include:
- Maintaining the municipal code of ordinances
- Conducting all elections
- Administering oaths of office
- Issuing licenses
- Open record requests
- Public notices regarding resolutions, ordinances, public hearings, and meeting agendas/minutes
- Web site and newsletter creation and editing
- Record retention
All dogs must be licensed after the age of five months. To license your dog, please provide the following:
- Proof of rabies vaccination
- Proof of spay or neuter
The license period is January 1st - December 31st. Licenses may be obtained beginning mid-December and no later than March 31st. After March 31st, a $25 per dog late fee will be assessed.
If you are renewing your dog license when paying your property tax bill, please write a separate check for the dog tag and include the items listed above.
