PW 1The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining  streets and right-of-way. This includes 110 miles of public streets and 36 miles of storm sewers. The Department is staffed by a Department Director, Administrative Assistant, Mechanic, Foreman, 4 full time laborers and two part time summer assistants. 

The department operates out of the office and shop located at W6895 Parkview Drive, Greenville, WI 54942. The office is located in the old fire station and is shared with the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department. The shop is located below, next to the Yard Waste Facility. 

Equipment maintained and operated includes three dump trucks with snow plowing and salting attachments, two backhoes, a sewer cleaning vac-truck  and various other vehicles and small equipment.



Important Reminders & Announcements
 
- Greenville Public Works has no weight limit restrictions at this time.
 Weight limits are administered to help protect the Village roads when they are susceptible to damage. They are used in spring and in other special situations where the roads can only hold a certain amount of weight. View the Weight Limit Ordinance here and our Weight Limits Map here

- BRUSH PICKUP:  The fee to be added to the brush pick-up list is $50. Residents requesting pickup must stop at the Village Hall no later than 12:00pm on the Friday prior to pickup to be placed on that month’s brush pick up list. Brush will NOT be picked up at any address that has not paid to be added to the list. 

- LONG GRASS/WEEDS: Greenville landowners are required to destroy any and all noxious and nuisance weeds and  remove or cut all untended and unmanaged weed and grass growth which has grown to a height greater than 10 inches on parcels located within the Sanitary District #1 or in a platted subdivision.
